The founder and head surgeon of Barrett Surgical Center, Dr. Barrett graduated from Duke Medical School in 1998 and has since dedicated her life to improving the health of clients across the country. With specializations in laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries, she has a giving heart that has consistently taken part in charitable initiatives. Dr. Barrett is a leader we are all proud to follow and one you can trust implicitly with your health.
Shane Barrett

Shane is the Barrett Surgical Clinic Office Manager and Technical Support. He is the co-founder and husband of Dr. Nancy Barrett. Together, Nancy and Shane have three boys.

Kara is our Office Manager as well as a Nurse. Kara is exceptional in being the lead in all facets of your healthcare needs. Kara is detail oriented and caring about how to get you prepared for appointments and surgery with Dr. Barrett. Kara has been with Barrett Surgical Clinic from the start— with over 17 years of experience helping provide healthcare service needed for a busy, caring office! She graduated from Indian River State College and is an avid reader.
